The lady is the Virgin Mary and the Mountain is a place of solitude and prayer, and the Carmel is the silence lying at the heart of the Church. The novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel this year will be prayed for our families in the whole world. We will meditate silently on Carmel to unite with the Virgin  Mary in a prayer that springs from our families rising to the heart and embrace of the Father like a fragrant aroma. Join your prayer with ours from wherever you are every day by lighting a candle and saying an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be. In this way, may our Mother Mary be honored in the four corners of the earth.
